We’re underway!

It’s taken us a little longer than we had planned, but the Saxmundham Neighbourhood Plan is now well underway.

Over the next few months, we will be consulting all sections of our community on

• how you see the future of our town, and
• what kind and scale of new development you would like, and
• where new development should best be located for each type of activity (housing, business premises, green spaces etc.)

And now we have this new website for the Plan process, which will update us on all the different things that are going on, both in developing our Plan, and more generally in our town.  We also want to post your ideas and proposals, which you can send us via the Contact page, or directly to me at jeremysmith1947@gmail.com.

You can also have your say through our Facebook Group.  Send us your great pictures, and we can show them on Instagram or use them to illustrate the website!

We have a Steering Group to oversee the whole process – and make sure things happen – comprising a small number of town councillors and others from the local community.  There are also a series of working groups which we would be delighted to get more volunteers to join.

Above all, this needs to be a joint effort to get a shared view (as far as we can) on the future of Saxmundham.
